Bonsai West is excited to welcome acclaimed Kusamono artist, Young Choe, for a special World Bonsai Day event. Kusamono and Kokedama have historically been used to accompany formal Bonsai displays, but more recently the craft has elevated to an art form of its own.

For those who cannot attend the afternoon Kusamono workshop, please join us for Young’s live lecture and demonstration in the garden at Bonsai West. During this presentation, Ms. Choe will guide you through the history of Kusamono, philosophies on the art, and the techniques she uses to create and display these elegant plantings. Preregistration required.

Due to space limitations, silent observation is not offered for the afternoon workshop.
