Chinese Elm

Skill level: Beginner/Intermediate

The Chinese Elm (Ulmus parvifolia) is native to China and South-East Asia, growing up to heights of 80 feet. Its fine branch ramification and small, shiny leaves make it an ideal species for bonsai. The Chinese elm is a cold-hardy tree and should be grown outdoors from mid-April through mid-November. Students will learn about proper bonsai care as they enhance their technical skills in pruning, wiring and repotting. Each student will receive a new tree with the option to board in our temperature-controlled greenhouse until the Spring.

Cost: $195

Cancellation policy: Up to 7 days before the date of the event, students may request to cancel their registration for a full refund. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will not be refunded or rescheduled. Parties of 3 or more must provide 14-days notice to receive a full refund.
