Beyond the Basics: Getting to Know Juniper

This introductory class is designed for students looking for a more immersive experience in bonsai technique and horticultural practice. Beyond the Basics Juniper broadly covers the content of our Introduction to Bonsai classes using larger, more mature trees to challenge students with a more complex project. Topics covered will include: pruning, internal cleaning, shaping with wire, design, horticultural maintenance, soil composition, repotting and visualizing for the future. Seriously-minded beginners will appreciate the depth of instruction, and students will walk away with a solid foundation for working across many different species. Wind down with an evening at the nursery and learn the fundamentals of bonsai! The price of the class includes all materials: tree, wire, soil, and pot.
