Bonsai West would like to welcome you to an informal dinner social celebrating two very special guests! Fresh from serving on the judge’s panel at the 8th Biennial U.S. National Bonsai Convention, Bonsai Masters Koji and Gerald will share with us some of their insights on the most important aspects of their work as bonsai professionals. Along with this lecture, meet & greet, and question & answer session, Koji will work on material from Bonsai West’s specimen collection. Come early and enjoy great food and drink, festivities will wrap up around 8pm.

Master Koji boasts over 40 years of experience with shohin bonsai production. He has won several awards from the Gafu-ten, Japan’s longest running shohin exhibition, and serves as the managing director of the All Japan Shohin Bonsai Association. Master Gerald completed his traditional bonsai apprenticeship with Koji’s family in the early 1980s. He now owns and operates Shikoku Bonsai Canada in British Columbia, growing high-quality, premium bonsai material. They maintain their relationship as colleagues to this day, and produce some of the world’s leading shohin bonsai trees.
