This September, bonsai superstar Mauro Stemberger makes his first return to Bonsai West in over six years! A nationally renowned professional bonsai artist, Mauro’s love for bonsai materialized at just 14 years old in his hometown in northern Italy. Since then, he has risen to international stardom with his world class workshops and dozens of awards from various conventions and competitions. Those familiar with his work will understand how pivotal his impact has been on the bonsai community, and we are excited to welcome him back to the nursery to share his vision and methods.
The weekend will kick off on Saturday morning with back-to-back 3 hour workshops, followed by a final session on Sunday morning before his live demonstration. Workshop participants should bring their tools, wire and supplies, and a well-developed bonsai project. These items are available for purchase from our store if necessary, and our workshop tools are available to borrow in a pinch. For his demonstration, Mauro will refine an established tree from Bonsai West’s collection. Space is limited to 30 observers, so sign up early to reserve your spot!
