Species Focus: Seiju Chinese Elm

The Seiju is a specialized cultivar of Chinese Elm with impossibly small leaves and bulbous nodes along its trunk. These trees make a fantastic species for bonsai because of their gnarled and unusual shape, surely to be a talking point in your collection. In this class, students will shape their trees with branch selection and directional pruning, then all trees will be potted into a beautiful new bonsai pot.
