Introduction to Bonsai 2: Pruning, Wiring and Styling

(Prerequisite Introduction to Bonsai or equivalent class/workshop)

All beautiful bonsai need care and refinement. In fact, one could say that “the Art of Bonsai is simply Pruning, Wiring and Sculpting trees”. While these techniques on the surface are simple enough to learn, the levels of skill required in becoming a bonsai artist requires regular practice of these very basic techniques. This class will cover maintenance pruning, branch selection, basic wiring, and how to bend branches to create pleasing classical shapes and beautiful bonsai. This class includes a tree and all the material needed for students to create a well designed classically trained bonsai.

Cancellation policy: Up to 7 days before the date of the event, students may request to cancel their registration for a full refund. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will not be refunded or rescheduled. Parties of 3 or more must provide 14-days notice to receive a full refund.

COVID policy: We require that all class participants be fully vaccinated, and reserve the right to ask for proof of vaccination and use of masks in classrooms when necessary.
