COVID-19 Closing Updates

Regarding pick ups for winter boarding customers:

We are currently developing an organized process for conducting customer pickups this year. In the midst of this global crisis, our first and foremost concern has been the safety of our staff and community. The decision to remain closed until further notice not only affects us as a small business, but also personally, as either we or our loved ones have all been impacted in some way by the COVID-19 virus.

We appreciate your kindness and patience with us as we admit our process has been slow, but be informed that we are working above and beyond to care for your trees and get them back to you in the safest way. All winter boarding customers will be contacted as soon as we have solidified this new system to schedule appointments for curb-side pickup. Otherwise, please email us at [info@bonsaiwest.com] to make arrangements, allowing up to one (1) week processing time.

Dear Friends and Customers of Bonsai West,

We hope all is well and you are taking care of yourselves during these unprecedented times. Upon evaluation of the current developments regarding COVID-19 and in accordance with Massachusetts’s Non-Essential Business Closure and Stay at Home Advisory, the nursery will continue to be closed to the public until further notice. We will be in contact with students registered for April classes to arrange credit for future classes or refunds. 

During this time, we will continue to nurture and care for all of the trees at the nursery. Our team is currently working out the logistics of Spring boarding pickups. Don’t forget to check our website and Facebook pages for further updates.

Those who want to support Bonsai West during this time are encouraged to do so by purchasing gift certificates online for future use at the nursery. We are grateful for the folks who have been able to help our small business.

Hello Everyone,

We hope that those of you staying at home are all doing well and that all of you working feel safe and supported. As we’re all too aware, the situation with COVID-19 evolves daily and we are doing our best to respond appropriately to keep our staff and community safe.

With that in mind, we have decided to suspend any “curb-side” service or pickups of trees in boarding for what is our tentative closing period between now and the end of March. Anyone scheduled to pick up their trees during this period will not be charged. We urge all of our friends and customers to employ social distancing practices, and to only leave your homes for primary necessities. We are determined to do all we can do to help control the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). We will reassess our closing at the end of the month. In the meantime, we will continue to post updates on our website, social media and email list.

Hello Everyone,

For years, we at Bonsai West have striven to provide the best service to our community, whether you are a newcomer first walking in or a longtime bonsai enthusiast. We want to continue to serve you to our best ability, which is why we have decided to close our retail store for a tentative three week period, beginning today, March 16th. In addition, all classes, workshops and seminars, including private lessons, are suspended until we open again. Any students affected are welcome to credit their tuition towards a future class, or be issued a refund.

We will continue to pay our staff during this time, and we will be at the nursery for the entire period, to take care of all plants in our care, including our boarding facility and ‘hospital’

Anyone scheduled to pick up their trees in this time frame will be contacted on an individual basis to schedule a pick up time. Those who would like to keep their trees in boarding until we open again may do so at no extra cost.

We are determined to do all we can do to help control the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

At the end of the three weeks we will reassess our closing. We will be sending updates via email, on our Facebook page as well as on our Instagram.
